Job Summary
Lead the reinvention of a core business function by mapping AI leverage points across finance, operations, and product, then shipping agents and automations that automate routine work and sharpen judgment calls. Treat the transformation as a product: define outcomes, ship MVPs, measure impact, and iterate based on user feedback. Establish lightweight, practical standards for building with AI and prove ROI through time saved, cost removed, or revenue won. Own the mandate at the Senior Leadership Team level, raise company-wide AI fluency, and build a team beneath you as the business scales. In your first 90 days, agree on your first mandate with the CEO and deliver a real improvement that changes how work gets done.
Required Qualifications
- AI-native to the core - you already use AI every day to work faster and think bigger, and you're genuinely excited to build with it (agents, automations, tools)
- You've owned and transformed something - a function, a team, a business, or your own company - and you can prove the impact
- Product mindset - you build for the user and the outcome, not the output. You ship an MVP, get feedback, and iterate, and you prioritise ruthlessly by value
- Exceptional analytical and commercial judgment - you reason from first principles, are fluent with numbers and unit economics, and know where the real value is
- High agency and bias to action - you take an ambiguous mandate and ship the 80% this week rather than plan it for a quarter
- Leadership - ready to own a function at SLT level and build a team in time; you carry the CEO's and the board's confidence
- Outstanding communication - you make complex things simple and influence across a business
- Startup temperament - high-energy, low-ego, thrives in ambiguity and a fast pace
Desired Qualifications
- Deep experience in finance, operations, or another data- and decision-heavy function
- Has built AI agents / automations, or shipped AI-powered products
- Founder, co-founder, or early-stage operator experience
- E-commerce, logistics, supply chain, or marketplace exposure
