Job Summary
Lead and oversee day-to-day accounting operations for a manufacturing-focused organization, directing financial reporting, supervising two Accounts Payable staff, and partnering with the CFO to drive process improvements and strategic initiatives. Hands-on leadership with a strong foundation in GAAP, cost accounting, and multi-system environments, with responsibilities including journal entries, reconciliations, month-end/year-end close, internal controls, and cross-functional collaboration toward a future Controller role. The role requires fully onsite work in Brooklyn, NY, and offers long-term growth toward senior financial leadership.
Required Qualifications
- BA in Accounting
- Experience as Accounting Manager or strong Senior Accountant
- Strong understanding of journal entries and general ledger accounting
- Experience within manufacturing or product-based environments preferred
- Cost accounting knowledge
- Leadership potential and desire for long-term growth
- Ability to work fully onsite
