Job Summary
Head of Accounting in Bermuda, reporting to the CFO, overseeing US GAAP and Bermuda statutory financial reporting, regulatory filings, and management reporting. Lead onboarding of reinsurance transactions, maintain accounting policies, manage audits and external/internal auditors, and collaborate with Actuarial, Risk, and Finance functions. Requires 10+ years in (re)insurance or public accounting, leadership skills, and proficiency with Excel and accounting platforms; strong communication and strategic oversight for financial reporting and controls.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business, plus an internationally recognized accounting designation (CPA, ACA, CA or equivalent)
