Job Summary
Lead the Accounting and Payments team while ensuring accurate month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting, and statutory compliance. Own tax accounting, payroll, and regulatory reporting for the Financial Supervisory Authority and future banking license requirements. Drive the annual audit process, strengthen financial controls, and modernize processes through AI automation. Partner with Risk, Legal, Product, and Technology to support regulatory compliance and business growth. Prepare Bondora for a banking license by strengthening financial operations and scaling the finance function.
Required Qualifications
- Experience leading accounting or financial reporting teams in banking, fintech, consumer lending, or another regulated financial services environment
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting standards, and statutory compliance
- Experience leading external audits and regulatory reporting
- Hands-on experience with IFRS 9
- Strong understanding of financial controls and governance
- Experience working with ERP and accounting systems
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and process improvement capabilities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Microsoft Copilot to improve efficiency and automate routine work
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
