Job Summary
Negotiate premiums and terms with insurers to secure the best policy brokerage and coverage for clients. Compare multiple quotations, finalize terms per client requirements, and ensure error-free placement slip preparation and submission. Verify policy documents for coverage, IDV, premium, and add-ons while maintaining strong relationships with underwriters. Track renewal dates, collect renewal quotes, and ensure timely placement in compliance with IRDAI guidelines. Maintain records of quotations, proposal forms, and policy copies, and generate placement MIS reports. Collaborate closely with sales, client servicing, and claims teams to ensure smooth information flow between insurers and clients.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Motor Insurance products
- Strong negotiation skills
- Good communication with insurers
- Attention to policy wording and coverage details
- Knowledge of IDV, add-on covers, endorsements, and motor underwriting
- MS Excel & documentation management
- Graduate (preferably Insurance / Commerce / Management)
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Group Insurance Underwriting (Broker or Insurer side)
Desired Qualifications
- Certification like III / IRDAI training
