Job Summary
Implement athletic policies and regulations while managing staff, scheduling, and equipment inventory. Conduct pre-season meetings, organize recruiting efforts, and maintain facility cleanliness and security. Direct student managers and statisticians, monitor athlete conduct and grades, and submit injury documentation within 24 hours. Manage the budget, oversee equipment procurement and storage, and serve as the primary liaison with parents, the media, and the booster club.
Required Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of all the Athletic Policies approved by the Catawba County Schools Board of Education
- Knowledge of existing school system, state, and conference regulations
- Understanding of the proper administrative line of command
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, parents, and the community
- Must possess administrative and organizational skills
- Previous successful coaching experience in assigned sport
- Teacher license
- Employment as a teacher by the Catawba County Board of Education
Desired Qualifications
- Teacher license and employment as a teacher by the Catawba County Board of Education is strongly preferred
