Job Summary
Plan and prepare all practices and contests for the Men's and Women's swim program while recruiting student-athletes and coordinating university-wide activities including camps, clinics, and field rentals. Organize a comprehensive fundraising program and alumni development plan, then prepare budget recommendations and monitor revenues, expenditures, and equipment inventory. Oversee the selection and supervision of part-time coaches and student employees, maintain appropriate records and files, and ensure compliance with NJAC, NCAA, and university policies. Manage team rosters, confirm participation forms, and coordinate transfer eligibility. Participate in departmental and university-wide meetings, serve on relevant committees, and assist student-athletes with academic support and athletic training care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university
- A minimum of three years of professional work experience coaching student athletes at the collegiate level
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; particularly as they apply to swimming, recruiting and student athlete eligibility
- Ability to work an irregular schedule, including evenings, weekends and occasional holidays
