Job Summary
Manage store operations, staff, and all aspects of the home store to ensure achievement of company objectives. Communicate operational goals and directives to maximize team contributions toward meeting the sales plan. Complete schedules, handle visual merchandising, and ensure the payroll budget is met while maintaining customer expectations. Partner with District Management and HR on associate relations issues, including termination situations. Actively participate in meetings and conference calls to foster innovative thinking, identify opportunities, and communicate best practices. Build a strong team that delivers sales and profit results through honest, effective leadership and timely performance feedback. Identify development needs, train associates on required skills, coach on desired behaviors, and identify succession opportunities for high-performing individuals.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- 2+ years of previous experience as a retail manager
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Able to respond to store alarm problems as needed
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong drive to achieve results
- Takes initiative and has problem solving skills
- Candidate will be required to stand for long periods of time throughout their shift
- Lifting between 15-30 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- College degree a plus but not required
