Job Summary
Head Lacrosse Coach-Women (Spring) oversees the high school lacrosse program, designs and implements coaching plans, teaches fundamental lacrosse skills, strategy and conditioning, mentors student-athletes, coordinates staff (head and assistant coaches), trains and develops staff through clinics, ensures adherence to athletic policies, and engages in public relations and recruitment to promote the sport within the school. The role requires leadership over staff, program budgeting, and collaboration with the athletic director and principal to support a positive, competitive athletic environment.
Required Qualifications
- Coaching experience in lacrosse
- Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program
- Substantial knowledge of lacrosse technical aspects
- Serve as a role model for student athletes
- Supervise and coordinate staff of head, assistant, and middle school coaches
- Instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training
- Ability to upgrade knowledge through coaching clinics and observations
- Trains and informs staff; encourages professional growth
- Delegates duties and evaluates staff effectiveness
- Maintains discipline and morale
- Ensures compliance with athletic policies
- Mentor athletes on academics and character
