Establish the fundamental philosophy, skills, and techniques for the sports program while training and informing staff to encourage professional growth. Direct student managers and assistants, supervise implementation of duties, and analyze staff effectiveness at season's end. Maintain discipline, adjust grievances, and work to increase morale and cooperation among players, parents, and the community. Provide constant attention to student athletes' grades and conduct, ensuring presence at all practices and games. Manage equipment by issuing, storing, and reconditioning gear, maintaining inventory records, and securing facilities before leaving the building. Initiate programs for injuries and emergencies, completing paperwork on disabling injuries within 24 hours. Promote the sport through recruiting, media relations, and community programs, while assisting athletes in college or advanced educational selection.
