Job Summary
Instruct athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and training while promoting the Pursuing Victory with Honor Program, maintaining discipline, and handling grievances. Establish coaching philosophy for staff, supervise their performance, and assist the athletic director in recruiting, scheduling contests, and enhancing the sport's program. Ensure venue safety, inventory equipment, and coordinate supervision across locker rooms and play venues. Maintain open communication with faculty, staff, and parents, advising student-athletes on academics and assisting with college recruiting and scholarship applications. Work under the supervision of the principal and athletic director within NFHS and Diocese guidelines, serving as a campus minister and mentor. Perform other tasks as requested by leadership.

- Must use verbal and written language correctly
- Must demonstrate an appropriate sense of humor
- Must demonstrate knowledge and understanding of good teaching techniques and child psychology
- Must maintain appropriate grooming and dress as stated in the faculty handbook
- Requires the ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
- Must be in good physical condition
- Must have initiative
- Must have creativity
- Must have problem solving skills
- Must have good judgment in handling different personalities and emerging situations
- Must have the ability to actively listen in assessing individual students, teacher, and program needs
- Must have proficiency in good communication skills with both children and adults
- Must have a positive attitude in normal and crisis situations
- Must have the ability to work cooperatively with others
- Must have the ability to delegate
- Preference given to Catholic teacher
- Must meet Diocese of Phoenix requirements for employment
- Received Safe Environment Training and signed the Code of Conduct
- AZ Fingerprint clearance completed
Desired Qualifications
- Have a current Arizona State driver's license is desirable
