Job Summary
Head JV Varsity Girls Volleyball Coach responsible for leading the program, setting goals for the team, guiding training and skill development, supervising equipment, collaborating with Co-Directors of Athletics, and promoting the program within the school and community. The role requires implementing training programs, ensuring positive environment aligned with the school’s mission, and maintaining strong communication with families and stakeholders. Must be available for a flexible schedule including some nights and weekends, with First Aid/CPR training (or willingness to obtain) and CDL Class C certification.
Required Qualifications
- Previous competitive volleyball coaching/experience at the club high school or college level
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to develop strong relationships with students, staff, parents, alumni, and community members
- Ability to foster a positive team spirit as well as individual skill improvement
- Availability to work a flexible schedule that includes some nights and weekends
- First Aid and CPR training - or have the ability to be trained
- Willingness to get certified as CDL Driver Class C
- A love for working with young people and a commitment to a diverse and inclusive community
- A desire to contribute to school life outside of the classroom on a lively boarding school campus
