Job Summary
Responsible for coordinating Parker sports program and assisting with development of student-athletes through coaching, teaching and organizing practices and games in alignment with Parker’s mission. Coaches and instructs student-athletes, develops team concepts within the values-driven framework, promotes sportsmanship and respect for rules and officials, and supports administrative duties such as discipline resolution, medical/academic eligibility, grade checks, equipment and budgeting. Communicates effectively with athletes, parents, faculty, administrators, and the community; prepares teams for competition; works Monday–Friday after 3 pm with weekend hours often required. Seasonal/part-time role paying $20.75/hr.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of one-year experience in coaching
- High school or collegiate athletic participation or coaching is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to relate effectively with a variety of individuals to include students, coaches, other staff, physicians, parents, teachers and administrators
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work flexible hours to include evenings and weekends on a frequent basis
