Job Summary
Oversee daily housekeeping operations for Residence Inn by Marriott, assigning duties, inspecting work for conformance to cleanliness standards, and ensuring all resident suites and public areas are serviced. Investigate service complaints, take corrective action, and conduct training on policies, procedures, and equipment maintenance. Manage inventory, order supplies, and liaise with General Manager and Maintenance regarding equipment needs. Coach staff to perform duties effectively while adhering to all VRS policies and procedures. Prioritize tasks to ensure efficient operations and prompt resolution of resident requests.
Required Qualifications
- Must be skilled at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve them in a timely manner
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills
- Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities to use time efficiently
- Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality
- Must have the ability to establish and maintain good interpersonal relations by displaying tact, courtesy and patience with applicants, residents, and staff
- High school graduation or equivalent
- WHMIS Certificate
- At least 3 years of housekeeping experience
- 1 year of working in a supervisory/managerial role
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
