Job Summary
Lead, supervise and mentor a team of gymnastics coaches while planning, delivering and overseeing engaging sessions for recreational and competitive participants. Create safe, progressive learning environments, monitor gymnast development, and provide ongoing feedback. Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety policies and risk assessments, manage programme administration, and coordinate competitions, events and junior activities. Recruit, train and support coaching staff, conduct performance reviews, and build positive relationships with gymnasts, parents and stakeholders. Monitor key performance indicators to contribute to programme growth. This role combines proactive coaching with administrative oversight across the Arun contract, supporting a mission to improve lives through leisure.
Required Qualifications
- Level 3 Gymnastics Coaching Qualification
- Experience coaching recreational and competitive gymnasts
- Experience managing staff or leading coaching teams
- Knowledge of gymnastics programme delivery
- Experience working in a leisure, sports or recreation environment
- Strong organisational and administration skills
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Valid First Aid qualification
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
