Head Grower (Pooling Requisition)

Head Grower responsible for planning and overseeing the planting, cultivation and harvesting of all produce and organic produce. This role provides leadership and coordinates with the Greenhouse Labor Supervisor and Human Resources, touring greenhouses to monitor plant health, addressing pests/disease, and ensuring safe disposal of chemicals. The Head Grower maintains day-to-day records, develops production plans, and ensures adherence to company, client, and project policies. Responsibilities include guiding greenhouse staff, solving labor issues, interpreting policies, coordinating greenhouse production, and collaborating with management on project timelines and budgets. The role requires advanced technical guidance to greenhouse personnel, planning and care of greenhouse production, and ensuring safety, food safety, and regulatory compliance. The candidate should have strong communication and leadership abilities, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. Education includes High School Diploma or GED or equivalent, with Diploma and/or bachelor’s degree in Botany / Horticulture / Agriculture preferred.
