Job Summary
Head Girls Cross Country Coach at Orting High School. Responsibilities include coaching cross country, implementing techniques and strategies, complying with Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) coaching standards, and maintaining positive, effective communication with students, parents, staff, and community members. The role requires strong organizational skills to support a solid high school program, the ability to motivate teenage athletes, and the capacity to ensure student-athlete academic achievement through sportsmanship. The position requires after-school availability and adherence to district safety trainings and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Be high school graduate or have completed a graduation equivalency diploma (GED) program
- Be at least 21 years of age to be an assistant coach
- Current first aid and CPR training or the ability to obtain, prior to the start of the season, from an approved OSD provider that includes return demonstration
- Flexible Schedule
- Must be available immediately after school - 2:15 pm
- Completion of required Vector Solutions (SafeSchools) trainings within thirty (30) days of hire.
