Job Summary
Manage all team-issued equipment, including jerseys, helmets, gloves, skates, and protective gear, while preparing locker rooms and benches for practices, home games, and away games. Sharpen skates, perform routine repairs, wash and organize daily laundry, and maintain inventory with monthly status reports to coaches. Pack, transport, and organize gear for road trips, ensuring all supplies and extra equipment are packed per the coaching staff checklist. Maintain player equipment and jerseys, including sewing visible tears, and coordinate with visiting teams' equipment managers for room setup and post-game breakdowns. Assist with game-day setup, post-game breakdown, and other hockey operations duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of skate sharpening, equipment repair, and maintenance
- Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and travel with the team as required
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and working in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated, dependable, and team-oriented
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in hockey equipment management
- Junior, collegiate, or professional hockey experience
- Familiarity with inventory management and equipment ordering
- Ability to thrive under game-day deadlines and changing schedules
