Job Summary
Lead the Design and Engineering department by establishing capacity, ensuring ISO 9001 compliance, and driving continuous improvement in systems and processes. Prepare accurate design estimations for quotations, manage pre-bid meetings, and coordinate with plants and clients to deliver engineering details within budgeted timelines. Conduct regular engineering meetings, train team members on codes and specifications, and oversee performance appraisals while maintaining detailed drawings, bills of materials, and work schedules. Recruit and develop manpower, resolve technical nuances, and ensure all personnel adhere to ethical codes and document control procedures.
Required Qualifications
- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil / Structural / Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute
- Minimum 18–25 years of experience in Design & Engineering
- At least 5–8 years in a leadership role heading large design or structural engineering teams
- PEB / Steel Structure / EPC industry experience
- Strong knowledge of design codes (IS, AISC, MBMA, BIS, ASCE, etc.)
- Expertise in steel structure design, detailing, and value engineering
- Experience in PEB design, fabrication drawings, connection design, and structural analysis
- Proficiency in design software such as STAAD.Pro, Tekla, AutoCAD, and MS Office tools
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop large multi-disciplinary design and detailing teams
- Excellent project planning, coordination, and monitoring abilities
- Ability to set departmental goals, improve systems, and ensure compliance with ISO standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
