Head Custodian School-Based

General custodial and light groundskeeping duties in school facilities under supervision, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, stripping/waxing/buffing floors, cleaning restrooms, windows, walls, and furniture, replenishing supplies, and disposing of trash. Requisitions for cleaning supplies, occasional snow/de-icing of walkways, and basic maintenance tasks. May open/close buildings and operate lights/thermostats. May arrange furniture for meetings/events. Requires CDL license (and ability to drive a school bus as needed). Physical requirements include medium work, ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs frequently, and handling janitorial equipment. Knowledge of standard janitorial methods and materials, ability to follow instructions, and ability to work independently and establish effective working relationships.
