Job Summary
Head Custodian at Clearcreek Elementary: Performs cleaning and basic maintenance tasks to ensure cleanliness and safety of the facility and grounds; supervises summer custodial workers; assists with setup for assemblies and special programs; operates custodial equipment; supports cafeteria during lunch; maintains inventory and reports supply needs; ensures building security and proper closing; handles grounds maintenance and snow/ice removal; coordinates overtime with supervisor; regular attendance required; 260-day contract with 8-hour shifts (6:00am–2:00pm); starting salary includes a $2.00/hour differential (Total starting rate $18.61 + $2.00 = $20.61/hour).
Required Qualifications
- Training and/or experience evidences knowledge of custodial and basic maintenance techniques and basic supervision
- Demonstrable ability to perform moderate to heavy physical labor
- Demonstrable ability to interpret labels and warnings
- Must pass criminal background check
- Completion of aptitude test
- Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's License
