Head Custodian (9:00 am-5:30pm) (8 Hours/260 Days)

Head Custodian responsible for supervising custodial staff and coordinating maintenance activities in a school setting. Duties include instructing custodians in routine preventive maintenance, monitoring performance, documenting/ addressing deficiencies, scheduling extra duties, maintaining inventory and supplies, performing minor repairs to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and building systems, assisting visitors, ensuring building security, and maintaining records and reports. Requires at least one year of building-level experience, a valid driver’s license, and a high school diploma or GED (preferred). Must be able to lift up to 90 pounds, read and interpret safety and maintenance documents, and communicate effectively with staff and students; supervisory responsibilities and adherence to OSHA general industry safety standards are included. Term of employment aligns with an entire school year; full-time with varying days and hours.
