Job Summary
Coordinate the overall lower-level cheerleading program, assigning assistant coaches and planning weekly practice sessions that conclude by 6:00 pm on Wednesdays. Establish safety and health rules, enforce eligibility criteria, and ensure all athletes possess completed physical, concussion, and parent permission forms before participating. Manage equipment inventory, recommend purchases with Activity Director approval, and file end-of-season reports including budgets and evaluations. Supervise athletes during practices, contests, and transportation, maintaining strict adherence to district policies and athletic association regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Iowa coaching endorsement or authorization
- Demonstrated personal and moral character that contributes to the best interest of the safety and welfare of the student/athlete
- Concussion certificate
- Mandatory Reporter Training certificate
Desired Qualifications
- Coaching License or Authorization preferred
- Background in coaching preferred
- Cheerleading Background Preferred
