Job Summary
Lead the Nottoway County High School soccer program by providing leadership, supervision, and coaching instruction while fostering sportsmanship among coaches, athletes, and spectators. Coordinate assistant and volunteer coaches, manage team try-outs and evaluations, and ensure participant safety through detailed practice schedules and supervision. Oversee team finances, equipment inventory, and fundraising events while maintaining compliance with Virginia High School League rules and policies. Communicate with parents, administration, and the community, attend required meetings, and complete necessary certifications within one year.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Collegiate Professional License
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience working within a school system and/or soccer coaching or related extracurricular activities
- Must obtain CPR, First-AID, Child-Abuse, and Concussion Certifications within one (1) year
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Possession of a valid driver's license
- Submission of two (2) professional references, including one from a current or former supervisor
- Successful completion of background screenings, including: Tuberculosis (TB) screening/test, FBI criminal history investigation, Virginia State Police criminal history check, Child Protective Services (CPS) background check

- Skillfully manages individual and group interactions
- Complete paperwork in a timely manner
- Maintains great attendance and is punctual
- Willingness to pursue ongoing professional development
