Job Summary
Head Coach for Middle School Girls Swimming responsible for developing a school swim program aligned with Castilleja Athletics, leading instruction in fundamental swimming skills and team strategies, supervising practices, competitions, and trips, coordinating with the Middle School Athletics Director and Director of Athletics on administrative tasks (uniforms, equipment, transportation, scheduling, referees), organizing end-of-season meetings and awards, and ensuring compliance with policies; requires strong leadership, communication, organizational skills, ethics, and ability to work with a diverse school community; role is seasonal/part-time with duties including mandatory meetings and compliance with payroll and time-off tracking, and includes responsibilities such as transporting student athletes by school vans when needed; location based in Palo Alto, CA.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent; college degree preferred
- A minimum of 2 years previous Swimming Coach Experience
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it
- Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record
- LiveScan fingerprinting background check
- Ability to travel on Castilleja campus as needed
