Job Summary
The Head Coach for Men’s Rugby at Walsh University is responsible for coaching and mentoring student-athletes, recruiting and retaining talent, and overseeing the men's rugby program. Essential duties include developing performance goals, adhering to NCAA rules, managing operating budgets, organizing travel, practices, and competitions, and fostering student-athlete relationships. A Bachelor’s Degree is required with a preference for a Master’s, alongside 3 years of coaching experience at the collegiate level. Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED is also necessary.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 3 years coaching experience as a head coach at the collegiate level or significant experience in coaching Rugby or intercollegiate athletics administration
- First Aid, CPR, AED certification
Desired Qualifications
- Master’s Degree preferred/encouraged
