Job Summary
Head Coach - Girls Volleyball responsible for developing and leading a competitive, educational athletic program that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, character development, academic success, skill development, and student-athlete growth. Plan, organize, and conduct practices, training sessions, competitions, and team activities; teach sport-specific skills, strategies, conditioning, and fundamentals; develop practice plans and game strategies; foster teamwork, discipline, leadership, accountability, and good sportsmanship; ensure adherence to team rules, school policies, league regulations, and behavioral expectations; promote academic success and personal development; maintain a safe environment and enforce safety procedures during practices, games, travel, and activities; coordinate equipment, uniforms, facilities, and program needs; communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, staff, and administration; maintain attendance records, schedules, rosters, and other documentation; support recruitment, retention, and participation within the program; attend scheduled games, tournaments, meetings, trainings, and school events; represent the school professionally. Qualifications include coaching experience in the sport, knowledge of sport-specific rules and strategies, ability to work with high school-aged students, strong leadership and communication skills, and CPR/First Aid certification preferred; background check and fingerprint clearance as required.
