Job Summary
Oversee the districtwide girls basketball program by planning assignments, supervising practices, and coordinating competitions with administrators and assistant coaches. Instruct students on skills, strategy, and NCAA regulations while evaluating coaches and establishing performance goals. Manage financial policies, maintain equipment inventories, and ensure locker rooms meet sanitation standards. Collaborate with booster clubs and other varsity teams to promote well-rounded athlete development.
Required Qualifications
- Must have experience or a desire to work in a diverse school district
- General knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of Kentucky High School Athletics Association (KHSAA) rules
- Fundamentals of various sports
- Health and safety regulations
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate ability to insturct and supervise student-athletes
- Assist coaches on one or more sports
- Understand and follow oral and written directions
- Read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Any combination equivalent to: a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate, a minimum of 64 semester hours from an accredited college or university and one year of experience coaching in a school athletic program
- Successful completion of ABLE test

- current certification in first aid and CPR
