Job Summary
Head Coach - Girls Basketball role at Williams Field High School involves supervising and instructing basketball activities, remaining after school for practices and games, adhering to AIA bylaws, participating in fundraising for the program, and communicating with staff, students, and parents. The ideal candidate will hold Arizona teaching certification or Arizona Coaching Certificate (or NFHS Level I Fundamentals of Coaching and related coursework), have coaching/playing experience, strong communication, NFHS certification, and a valid IVP fingerprint clearance card. The role aligns with fall, winter, and spring sports programs (cross country, golf, swim/dive, football, volleyball, track, etc.) and requires involvement in program development and compliance.”,
Required Qualifications
- Must hold valid Arizona Teacher Certification with approved area/endorsement as needed for position or Arizona Coaching Certificate, or have completed each of the following criteria from the National Federation of State High School Associations online at nfhslearn.com (Level I Certification): Fundamentals of Coaching – First Aid/CPR – Sport Specific course or teaching sport skills if sport is not offered.
- Experience with the sport (coaching and playing).
- Great communication skills.
- NFHS Certificate
- No convictions for felonies or crimes against children.
- Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
