Job Summary
Conduct daily skills instruction and plan seasonal practice schedules with the Athletic Coordinator, including holiday adjustments. Schedule interscholastic contests, recommend equipment and uniform purchases, and maintain attendance, insurance, and accident paperwork. Oversee facility safety during student presence, establish written rules and regulations, and enforce discipline and sportsmanlike behavior with penalties for breaches. Evaluate assistant coaches and submit written program reports to the coordinator at season's conclusion. Adhere to state concussion and sports injury regulations while interacting with faculty, leadership, and the community.
Required Qualifications
- Possesses or is eligible for a Connecticut Coaching Permit issued through the CT State Department of Education
- Current First Aid and CPR or eligibility to earn certification
