Job Summary
Head Coach for Cross Country at Parkrose High School with essential duties including providing a positive learning environment, teaching cross country skills, managing athlete behavior, supervising assistant coaches, organizing practice sessions to develop athletes’ potential, enforcing school policies, attending meets and events, and applying discipline accordingly. Requires coaching experience with high school students, adherence to OSAA/District eligibility, and completion of required safety and coaching certifications (First Aid/CPR-AED, SafeSchools trainings, ASEP/NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching, Concussion/Heat/ Steroid Prevention).
Required Qualifications
- Experience with high school students and the sport/activity
- Verification of identity and prior employment
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint Clearance by the State Department of Education
- Online district required trainings through online Safe Schools Program
- Current First Aid and CPR/AED card
- ASEP/NFHS Coaching
- OSAA Concussion
- OSAA Steroid & OSAA Heat Prevention
