Job Summary
Head Coach for JV Cheerleading at Bessemer City High School responsible for choreographing and teaching cheer routines, scheduling practices with the Athletic Director and Principal, coaching individuals and the team, ensuring safety, supervising during games, conducting tryouts, attending summer cheer camps, promoting teamwork and good character, and supporting fundraising efforts. Requires strong organizational and communication skills, knowledge of cheerleading techniques, and the ability to motivate students while maintaining safety and discipline; minimum education is a high school diploma with a bachelor’s degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Considerable experience in group leadership
- Extensive training and experience in cheerleading and choreography preferred
