Job Summary
Conduct individual coaching sessions on mechanics and skills, coordinate regular practice schedules, and enforce discipline regarding contest, school, conference, and state rules. Supervise coaching staff development, oversee safety conditions at NAFCS and off-campus facilities, and maintain accurate records of uniforms, equipment, and statistics. Submit required athletic documents, recommend equipment purchases, and attend state and conference selection meetings. Develop total K-12 programs through camps and drills while coordinating fundraising plans with the Athletic Director. Provide willingness to work with administration, staff, athletes, and parents across a dynamic practice and game schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Must have excellent organizational skills
- the ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, coaches, and community while fostering a positive atmosphere
- Knowledge of NFHS, IHSSA, and/or other applicable rules and regulations
- Knowledge of basic First Aid and Athletic Training practices
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or nonprescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the Corporation
Desired Qualifications
- Experience coaching/participating in sports at the high school or collegiate level preferred
- Prior coaching experience is desirable
