Job Summary
Head Coach – Boys Soccer leads and develops a competitive, educational athletic program for high school students. Responsibilities include planning and conducting practices and competitions, teaching sport-specific skills and strategies, developing game plans, fostering teamwork, leadership, accountability, and sportsmanship, ensuring adherence to school policies and safety procedures, coordinating equipment and program needs, communicating with students, parents, staff, and administration, maintaining records, supporting recruitment and participation efforts, and representing the program professionally at events. Candidates should possess coaching experience in soccer or related athletic experience, knowledge of sport-specific rules and player development, the ability to work with high school students in a structured environment, and strong leadership and communication skills. CPR/First Aid certification preferred; background check and fingerprint clearance required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous coaching experience in the assigned sport or related athletic experience preferred
- Knowledge of sport-specific rules, techniques, strategies, and player development
- Ability to work effectively with high school-aged students in a structured and supportive environment
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to motivate, mentor, and inspire student-athletes while maintaining high expectations
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred
- Background check and fingerprint clearance as required
