Job Summary

Head Chef at The Crown pubs: you will write and execute creative menus using fresh, seasonal ingredients, lead and develop a kitchen team, cost and produce menus across multiple revenue streams, champion quality service through exceptional food, manage health & safety and rota planning, and drive growth through collaboration with front-of-house teams. The role offers autonomy to create menus and specials, access to apprenticeship and development programs, regular culinary masterclasses, and staff perks including meals, discounts, pension, and holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to inspire and lead a kitchen team
  • Experience creating and delivering fresh seasonal menus
  • Proven track record in cost control and GP/labour management
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Experience managing kitchen staff rota, training, and health & safety
  • Creative ability to design and deliver new dishes and daily specials
  • Able to drive sales and growth through collaboration with kitchen and front of house teams
  • Passion for working with local produce and premium pub dining
