Job Summary
Head Chef at Walkers of Whitehall, a London gastropub, with full autonomy to create menus and specials for a multi-level kitchen. Lead and develop a kitchen team, manage rota, cost controls, and health and safety, and drive growth through engaging with both kitchen and front-of-house teams. Role requires hands-on leadership, menu design and delivery, and creative input for daily specials, with opportunities to participate in culinary masterclasses and professional development. Location is London, England, UK; position is full-time and on-site. Salary £48,000–£53,000 per year, plus approximate £6,000 Tronc and benefits including free meals, discounts, pension, and holiday entitlement.
Required Qualifications
- Experience championing excellent service through quality food as Head Chef or in Sous Chef
- Ability to develop, cost and deliver fresh seasonal menus
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Health and safety management and kitchen staff rota planning
