Job Summary
Lead our back-of-house as Head Chef in Chicago, overseeing all food preparation and ensuring SeoulSpice quality standards. Responsibilities include preparing proteins, marinades, sauces, kimchi, and vegetables following recipes and guidelines; maintaining sanitation and a clean, organized kitchen; monitoring inventory and scheduling prep cycles; managing inventory and prep to meet daily needs; training and supervising staff on proper techniques, safety standards, and recipes; ensuring compliance with food safety regulations; accurately labeling, logging, and tracking inventory and prep activities; and managing inventory with FIFO. The role requires strong leadership and organizational skills, the ability to work under pressure, and physical capacity to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Required Qualifications
- Experience preparing food in a high-volume environment
- Dexterity with a knife
- Training in food preparation techniques, inventory management, and sanitation standards
