Job Summary
Head Chef leading the kitchen for residents at a care home, responsible for planning nutritious, locally sourced menus, preparing fresh meals, supervising kitchen and waiting staff, shaping the dining experience, and delivering high-quality food with creativity during 4-on/4-off shifts from 6:30am to 6:30pm. Requires leadership of a team, delivering consistent quality, engaging with residents to understand preferences, and contributing to special events in the home; City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 catering qualifications are desirable, with paid breaks, overtime opportunities, and a contributory pension.
Required Qualifications
- A City & Guilds 706 1/2 or NVQ Level 2 in Catering/Cookery or Level 2 Commis Chef is desirable along with experience in a similar role.
