Job Summary

Head Chef leading Park & Cove’s kitchen at Noosa, responsible for mentoring staff, overseeing food preparation, and curating menus to ensure variety, quality, and guest satisfaction. Manages daily kitchen operations including staff scheduling, inventory, hygiene, and cost control; hires, trains, and supervises kitchen staff; collaborates with management, front-of-house, and suppliers to optimize the dining experience; emphasizes menu development, seasonal ingredients, dietary needs, presentation, and accurate portioning. Requires proven leadership of kitchen teams, strong organizational skills, menu development experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work across flexible shifts including weekends/public holidays. Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Head or Senior Sous Chef with leadership abilities and track record of effectively managing kitchen teams
  • Proven menu development skills, crafting innovative dishes with seasonal ingredients, accommodating dietary needs, and maintaining top-notch presentation
  • Strong organizational abilities for preparation, planning, and cost control
  • A natural team player that loves the synergy of a great team, but can also work autonomously with ease
  • Personal presentation & communication skills are imperative, along with positive energy & attitude
  • Flexibly to work across a range of shifts including weekends and public holidays as required
