Head Cheer and Dance Coach

Job Summary
Lead and oversee both competitive Cheer and Dance programs for Mount Marty University as Head Cheer and Dance Coach. Responsibilities include coaching, designing practice plans, choreographing routines for game days and NAIA/GPAC competitions, recruiting and retaining student-athletes, managing scholarship budgets, fundraising, and coordinating travel and logistics. Coordinate compliance with NAIA, GPAC, and university rules; partner with SID for media and community outreach. Requires leadership in program development, budget oversight, and fostering a high-energy, character-driven program with a national-level competitive standard. Responsibilities also include safety management per USA Cheer/AACCA guidelines, eligibility tracking using Play NAIA, and demonstrated strengths in recruitment, public speaking, and fundraising, with a willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays for events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years coaching at the collegiate or high-level varsity/all-star level
- Current USA Cheer/AACCA Safety Risk Management Certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- Proficiency in recruitment software and Google Workspace
