Job Summary
Lead and supervise a team of cashiers and Courtesy Clerks at Sprouts Farmers Market as Head Cashier; ensure excellent customer service by actively supporting registers, directing staff, and addressing customer issues; assign store sweeps, monitor cash register supply levels, and maintain cleanliness and security; schedule and oversee meal and rest breaks; assist in hiring and training new Cashiers and taking necessary steps for disciplinary actions. The role emphasizes leadership in a fast-paced retail environment with a focus on customer service, cash handling, team coordination, and operational oversight.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- possess a high school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training
- flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- outgoing and friendly behavior with customers
- ability to operate front end equipment (register, calculator, scanner)
- good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- ability to perform repetitious activities, multi-task, prioritize and stay organized
- must lift/carry up to 30 lbs., move grocery carts up to 50 hours per week
- strong attention to detail and proficiency with numbers; cash handling and mathematical skills
