Head Bowling Coach

Lead and coach student-athletes in fundamental skills, strategy, and physical training for the assigned sport. Execute practice plans and game-day strategies as directed (Head Coach) or as assigned (Assistant Coach). Maintain ethical and moral conduct, promote sportsmanship, self-discipline, and teamwork. Provide consistent feedback on performance, technique, and personal growth. Ensure compliance with Ohio School Law, RCS Board Policies, and OHSAA bylaws concerning eligibility, recruitment, and safety. Maintain accurate records (physical exams, emergency medical forms, equipment inventories) and assist with athletic facilities and equipment. Supervise student-athletes at all times (locker rooms, buses, events). Communicate professionally with students, parents, Athletic Director, administration, and stakeholders. Promote the program through district-wide athletic initiatives and mentorship of student growth, academics, and character. Knowledge of sport-specific tactics, OHSAA rules, Ohio School Law, adolescent development, and emergency safety protocols. Skills include effective communication, organization, time management, conflict resolution, and situational problem-solving. Ability to clearly demonstrate athletic techniques to varying skill levels, manage groups in different environments, and maintain composure under pressure. PHYSICAL DEMANDS include ability to sit/stand, move, and lift over 25 pounds; occasional exposure to blood and bodily fluids; driving to sites or events. This is a supplemental, seasonal contract position located in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
