Job Summary
Head Baseball Coach responsible for all aspects of the program, including recruiting, eligibility, game and practice planning and execution, budget preparation and monitoring, scheduling and travel, supervision of assistant coaches, public relations and promotion of the sport and department, fundraising and alumni engagement, and supervision of student-athletes and staff during practices, contests, and trips to ensure Keuka College and NCAA rules are followed. Develop a competitive program aligned with the athletic department vision; implement recruitment strategies to meet annual goals; monitor academic success and personal growth; schedule practices and competitions within NCAA guidelines; coordinate facilities usage; oversee safety, equipment, and apparel; manage annual budget and expenditures; coordinate hiring and mentoring of assistants; facilitate team travel; uphold leadership, sportsmanship, and professional conduct; support fundraising and alumni outreach in collaboration with athletics leadership and development office.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors required
- Masters preferred
- First Aid, CPR, AED certification required
- At least two years of coaching or playing experience in an intercollegiate athletics setting strongly preferred
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Time management flexibility; ability to sustain long work hours including evenings, early mornings, and weekends
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Experience developing recruitment strategies
- Budget preparation and monitoring experience
- Experience coordinating team travel and scheduling
- Knowledge of NCAA, conference, and college rules and processes
- Supervision of coaches and staff
- Facility and equipment management
- Commitment to student-athlete academic success and personal growth
