Job Summary
Lecture for Perspectives in Public Health (Fall 2026) examining public health practice in Canada and internationally with emphasis on social and political impacts on applying knowledge to practice. Explore models of health promotion, population health, health determinants and health behaviour as theoretical basis for public health research and practice. In-person delivery Tuesdays/Thursdays, 10:00am–11:20am, 3 hours per week, for an anticipated class size of 95; assessment and alignment with the Contract Teaching Faculty collective agreement as per program rubric.
Required Qualifications
- PhD in Public Health
- Required Discipline: Public Health, Health Systems, Health Policy, Epidemiology
- Competence in teaching and curriculum development
- Familiarity with assessment within a collective agreement context (CTF/Librarians)
Desired Qualifications
- PhD in Public Health or related field
- Teaching experience at undergraduate/graduate level
- Ability to design and assess courses
- Knowledge of health promotion, population health, health determinants and health behaviour
