HDD Driller/Locator

Job Summary
HDD Driller/Locator responsible for operating horizontal directional drilling (HDD) equipment and locating gear, performing outdoor work (including in confined spaces), and assisting crew members with underground pipe/conduit placement. Duties include operating HDD rigs and locating equipment, performing manual labor and shovel work when drilling isn’t available, restoring the job site to its original condition, and communicating field changes to the construction manager. Requires a valid driver’s license, willingness to travel, and strong English communication skills; punctual with good attitude and customer service orientation. Must be able to lift 100+ lbs and work in varying weather conditions; immediate start possible.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license
- Own transportation
- Clean driving record
- Ability to lift 100+ lbs
- Good written and oral skills in English
- Experience is an asset
- 1A or 3A driver's license asset
- Punctual
- Ability to work outdoors year-round
- Work in confined spaces
- Operate HDD rig and locating equipment
- Assist crew with underground pipes and conduits
- Notify supervisor of field changes
- Comply with safety regulations and company policies
- Immediate start if possible
