Job Summary
Assist nurses in performing tasks related to basic patient care needs while demonstrating service excellence and teamwork. Adhere to corporate compliance activities, nursing care standards, and policies to maintain patient, family, and staff satisfaction. Complete and maintain annual competency mandatory training, including safety and confidentiality, and document effectively in the EMR system. Remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment, attending unit meetings and showing flexibility regarding department assignments. Obtain and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification throughout employment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Completion of Basic Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) course (75 hours minimum) or successful completion of a workplace-based or military training program that provides the education and training necessary to perform Health Care Technician duties in an acute care setting, as approved by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) or Associate Vice President (AVP) of Nursing
- Ability to obtain and maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification throughout employment
