HCBS Program Director

Job Summary

Lead the HCBS program by providing strategic oversight, ensuring regulatory compliance with Arizona DDD and AHCCCS, and fostering a culture of integrity and person-centered services. Directly supervise HCBS Assistants and Coordinators through recruitment, training, coaching, and performance evaluations while monitoring documentation for quality and implementing corrective actions for compliance gaps. Oversee daily operations, manage authorization and billing claims using EVV and Vtrack, and collaborate with departments to ensure seamless member services. Address complex concerns involving families and partners, prepare for internal and external audits, and lead special projects while maintaining fiscal responsibility and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in HCBS, developmental disabilities, healthcare, or human services
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory or management experience
  • Working knowledge of Arizona DDD and AHCCCS regulations
  • Strong understanding of person-centered practices and HCBS service delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities
  • Possess a valid Arizona Driver's License, a clean driving record and a reliable means of transportation with current insurance and registration
  • Bilingual in both English and Spanish required
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Must have flexible work schedule to accommodate scheduling of home visits
  • Must successfully qualify for and/or complete: Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance
  • Must successfully qualify for and/or complete: Article Nine Training
  • Must successfully qualify for and/or complete: Certification in Adult/Child/Infant CPR, and First Aid
  • Must have the ability to address more than one project at a time while prioritizing the demands and issues in a busy operating environment
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to travel to office locations, member homes, provider sites, and meetings as needed
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
