Job Summary
Provide non-direct healthcare supports to clients, residents, families, and visitors while establishing rapport and promoting physical, emotional, cultural, social, and spiritual well-being. Observe environments to identify unsafe conditions or behavioral changes, and report findings to supervisors. Assist with mealtime activities by setting up dining areas, transporting clients, and preparing simple foods like tea, coffee, and toast. Carry out housekeeping duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dishwashing, and laundry delivery. Greet visitors in accordance with safety, security, and infection control procedures, and check or restock personal care, first aid, and housekeeping supplies. Perform other duties as assigned. Various shifts and hours available.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 10, including successful completion of English 10 or standardized English language proficiency test score from an authorized assessment centre
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Ability to organize work
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Ability to operate related equipment
- Successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check
- Successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Records Check
