HCA Casual Position-must be available days/evenings/nights

Job Summary
Provide direct personal support and care to residents in long-term care, including tasks such as ambulation, feeding, bathing, and grooming, in accordance with care plans and workplace routines. Collaborate with staff, residents, and families to support physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being; demonstrate knowledge of dementia and palliative care needs; follow documentation and care-planning processes; communicate effectively in English; and work in a part-time capacity at Extendicare facilities in Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Completed a PSW Program or HCA/CCA certification that meets the appropriate standards as required for the position
- Experience in Long Term Care or community home care setting with exposure to dementia and palliative care is preferred
- Knowledge and experience in care planning systems and documentation
- Ability to communicate positively with other staff, residents/patients and families
- Ability to provide care in accordance with applicable legislation, job routines, nursing care plans, ability to read and write English and understand verbal and written instructions in English
- Experience working independently in Community Home Care is an asset
