Job Summary

Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy to patients as prescribed by the Hyperbaric Provider, including monitoring chamber equipment, controlling performance, and adjusting settings to ensure patient safety. Prepare, educate, and orient patients for treatment, assisting with lifting or transferring them per local policy. Make appropriate data entries for daily treatments and wound care visits, maintaining complete patient records and uploading photos. Operate and maintain hyperbaric chambers and support oxygen systems, while participating in safety drills and assisting with vein clinic duties after training. If a CMA or LPN, function as a Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with policy. Perform other duties as required while adhering to Healogics, Hospital, and CMS guidelines.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current healthcare professional certification or license as applicable in state of practice
  • Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
  • Corpsman or Medical Services Specialist
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Paramedic
  • Registered Nurse (RN)
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)
  • Certified Hyperbaric Specialist (CHS)
  • Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse (CHRN)
  • Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA or RMA)
  • Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT)
  • Certified or Licensed Nursing Assistant (CNA or LNA)
  • Certified Hyperbaric Wound Specialist (CHWS)
  • Physical Therapist or Physical Therapy Assistant (PT or PTA)
  • Completion of Hyperbaric Training from US Department of Defense (DOD)
  • 1st Class, 2nd Class or Master designation Diver
  • Aerospace Physiology Specialist
  • Current Ohio license as Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)/Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN), Respiratory Therapist or Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT)
  • Pre or post hire completion of Introductory Hyperbaric Training Course
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification
  • Minimum of Two (2) or more years' experience in healthcare
  • Prior experience in wound or critical care
  • Attention to detail

  • Being in a stationary position for extended periods of time (4 hours or more)
